WWF France is undertaking a brand new field mission: the Odyssey of Marine Protected Areas. In France, in the Mediterranean, nearly 50% of the waters have a protected status. However, only 0.2% of them are effectively protected by strong protections. With the help of our ambassador sailboat, the Blue Panda, and a team of scientific divers, we are going on an expedition through all the marine protected areas of the Mediterranean to highlight the interest of their existence but also their limits. Our objective? To make the strong protections evolve from 0,2% to 10%.
